My Mission

I am here to be your support resource for leading a healthier lifestyle! To help you succeed in this, I am making available my experience and expertise in the areas of nutrition, fitness, relationships, spirituality, and green living, all tailored to your needs and goals in life.

Because I want you to have confidence in my services, let me tell you a little about myself and why I am a holistic consultant.

I worked for five years as Customer Support for Living Food Farm. My use of the holistic approach in this role was so successful that people began asking me for advice beyond Living Food Farm products. I realized I wanted to use more of my knowledge and skills so that the others could benefit from them. My background has three areas in which I have extensive experience:

Social work: I hold a bachelor's and a master's degree in social work from Gallaudet University. Because the principles of social work parallel those of holism, this is the perfect opportunity to combine my skills in both! I love to work with and help people. It's my calling!

Nutrition: I grew up on an organic farm with a health-conscious family. I have never stopped studying nutrition and I love to cook and experiment with new recipes to feed my growing family.

Athletics: I have been a competitive athlete all my life. Some of my accomplishments include being team captain of the Gallaudet volleyball team that won the CAC championship in 2000, playing Sweet 16 basketball with the Gallaudet women's team that is the subject of Wayne Coffey's book Winning Sounds Like This, winning the silver medal in volleyball at the 2001 Deaflympics, and being voted the Most Valuable Player of the USADB women's basketball league in 2002. Triathlons have become my newest athletic outlet.

In addition to the above areas of experience central to my work in holistic consulting, I am a Mom! I love teaching, feeding, and raising my kids in a healthy and natural way. This has taught me a great deal about nurturing and nourishing at a variety of growing stages.
